3 Indian Wedding Guest Looks with Modern Mangalsutra

It is no surprise that Indian weddings are impressive. All the decor, outfits, jewelry, cultural traditions, majestic venue, and sumptuous meals add up to be an epic experience for wedding guests.

In this styled shoot, we wanted to focus on the wedding guests. Specifically, we explored the dilemma guests face on what to wear at the wedding.

What outfit should they wear? Should they rent it or buy a new one?

Would a diamond mangalsutra look good on them?

How about floral accessories in their hair?

Many Indian weddings boast a sangeet (musical) party, a pool party, and of course, the actual wedding ceremony.

Keeping this in mind, we came up with three looks for wedding guests

    1. Sangeet Look: Mint Lehenga with Moonshine Mangalsutra
    2. Pool Party Look: Pink Dhoti Set with Constellation Mangalsutra
    3. Wedding Day Look: Red Saree with Solitaire Mangalsutra

    1. Sangeet Look: Mint Lehenga with Moonshine Mangalsutra

The happy musicals at a Sangeet event evoke our free-spirited nature. The mint-colored outfit, elegant floral hair accessory, partially beaded diamond mangalsutra collectively make a perfect look for a melodious evening.

    2. Pool Party Look: Pink Dhoti Set with Constellation Mangalsutra

If you’re not too keen to jump in the pool, a dhoti would be an excellent choice of outfit for a pool party. Pink is stereotyped to be a woman’s favorite color. But a hot pink dhoti makes you look confident, extraordinary, and fun. The choice of outfit color is as important as the dhoti itself. We paired the dhoti set with a fancy cut diamond mangalsutra to accentuate the look.

    3. Wedding Day Look: Red Saree with Solitaire Mangalsutra

Red is one of the most prominent colors in an Indian wedding. Aside from the fact that many brides wear red saree, you will find the abundant use of red color during traditional wedding rituals. Given the wide appeal of this color of love, a wedding guest with red saree can almost never go wrong. A solitaire-look diamond mangalsutra ensures a graceful and stylish appearance.

In summary, these looks are meant to inspire wedding guests with fresh ideas for their next Indian wedding events. If you have a mangalsutra, remember to flaunt it with style. Wearing a mangalsutra gives a cultural touch. You can consider renting your outfit too. The benefit of renting outfits is that you get to experience different styles, colors, and designer pieces without having the need to permanently own them.  You’ll save yourself some money while looking great. Now get ready to enjoy your next Indian wedding event.
